Default SOA settings

What is default SOA settings?

At ClouDNS, we have created a special feature, that allows you to have default SOA DNS admin e-mail (RNAME) and Primary NS (MNAME). These settings are useful in case you would like to have the same SOA DNS admin e-mail and Primary NS for all Master DNS zones at ClouDNS.

How to use default SOA settings?

Once edited, every Master DNS zone created at ClouDNS will have your very own customized SOA settings by default. In case you would like to use this feature for DNS zones, which are already created, you can click on RESET button from SOA settings in the DNS zone management page. This way, the current SOA settings of your DNS zone will be replaced by the default ones.

How to modify default SOA settings

When it comes to modifying your account's default SOA settings, it can be done by following just a few simple steps.

1. Log in with your ClouDNS account.

2. Enter into your profile settings by clicking on your e-mail link on top of the page.

3. In the SOA settings pane, edit the values of DNS admin e-mail and Primary NS and click on the Save button.

Note: This feature is available for PremiumDDoS Protected and GeoDNS subscriptions.
