This Privacy Policy describes how ClouDNS ("ClouDNS", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when providing DNS hosting, domain name registration, and related infrastructure services.

This Privacy Policy also explains your rights regarding personal data and the security measures implemented by ClouDNS to protect such data.

    • visitors to our website;
    • customers using the ClouDNS control panel;
    • users of DNS hosting and related infrastructure services;
    • customers registering or managing domain names through ClouDNS; and
    • individuals contacting our support or sales teams.

    The data controller responsible for the processing of personal data under this Privacy Policy is:

    Cloud DNS Ltd.
    Sofia, Bulgaria
    European Union

  2. Definitions
    • 服务 means the DNS hosting, domain registration, and related infrastructure services provided by ClouDNS.
    • Personal Data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person as defined under applicable data protection laws.
    • Customer means an individual or organization that creates an account or uses the Services.
  3. Account details

    We store customer details such as e-mail address, username, billing-related contact details, account preferences, and other account information only as reasonably necessary for account management, billing, notifications, customer support, security, and related service purposes.

    ClouDNS does not sell personal data. We may share personal data only where necessary to provide our Services, comply with legal obligations, protect our legitimate interests, or respond to valid legal requests.

  4. IP addresses, browser details, and security logs

    Our servers detect the IP address of your browser from the TCP protocol. This information may be used for internal operational purposes, including service security, rate limiting, abuse prevention, fraud detection, authentication, troubleshooting, and infrastructure protection.

    We may store browser details, IP addresses, login timestamps, authentication records, API usage records, and related security logs for operational, security, and legal purposes.

  5. DNS services and service data

    When providing DNS hosting and related infrastructure services, ClouDNS processes technical service data provided by customers, such as DNS records, zone configurations, API requests, request metadata, and related operational metrics necessary to provide and maintain the Services.

    ClouDNS does not inspect or analyze DNS query content for profiling purposes.

    ClouDNS does not store or share DNS query details relating to end-user activities, except where limited processing is necessary for operational, security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, or service analytics purposes. Statistics for each DNS zone may be made available to customers within the control panel.

  6. Domain name registration data

    When you register or manage domain names through ClouDNS, we may process the personal data required to register and maintain domain names in accordance with applicable registry requirements, registry agreements, and ICANN policies.

    This data may include:

    • registrant name;
    • organization name;
    • postal address;
    • e-mail address;
    • phone number;
    • administrative contact details;
    • technical contact details; and
    • billing contact details.

    Domain registrants are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date registration information where required by ICANN policies and applicable registry rules.

  7. WHOIS / RDAP information

    Domain registration data is processed in accordance with applicable registry requirements, registry agreements, and, where applicable, the ICANN Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA).

    Certain domain registration data may be accessible through WHOIS or RDAP services, or may be disclosed to authorized third parties, in accordance with ICANN policies, registry rules, applicable law, and data protection requirements.

    Where required by applicable data protection law, certain personal data may be redacted, masked, or otherwise protected from public disclosure.

  8. Domain registration data escrow

    In accordance with applicable domain registration requirements, including ICANN requirements where applicable, certain domain registration data may be periodically deposited with an approved data escrow provider in order to ensure continuity of domain registration records in the event of registrar failure, service interruption, or accreditation termination.

    ClouDNS uses DENIC Services GmbH & Co. KG as its data escrow provider for domain ownership-related registration data where such escrow is required.

  9. Domain search queries

    ClouDNS may process domain name search queries submitted through its website or control panel in order to determine the availability of domain names and facilitate domain registration services.

    Domain search queries are processed solely for the purpose of providing domain availability checks and related services. ClouDNS does not use domain search queries to register domain names for its own benefit or engage in domain front-running.

  10. Suggestions, recommendations, and related service offers

    ClouDNS may generate automated suggestions, recommendations, or service-related offers based on customer interactions with the Services, such as domain searches, domain registrations, or other service usage, in order to facilitate the use of ClouDNS services and improve the customer experience.

    Such recommendations are generated automatically based on service interactions and are not intended to profile individuals or make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

  11. Cookies

    ClouDNS uses cookies and similar technologies in connection with its website and related services. For more information, please see our Cookie Policy.

  20. International data transfers

    Some third-party providers or counterparties may process personal data outside the European Economic Area or your country of residence.

    Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers, which may include Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, adequacy decisions, and contractual and organizational safeguards with service providers.

  21. Legal requests and disclosure

    ClouDNS may disclose personal data where required to comply with applicable laws, regulations, court orders, or legally binding requests from public authorities, including law enforcement agencies.

    Where legally permitted, ClouDNS will review such requests to ensure their validity and may seek to limit the scope of disclosure to the minimum amount of data necessary to comply with the request.

  22. Domain disputes and legal proceedings

    Domain names registered through ClouDNS may be subject to dispute resolution procedures, legal proceedings, or administrative actions, including proceedings conducted under ICANN policies such as the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP), Uniform Rapid Suspension System (URS), or other registry dispute resolution mechanisms.
