Great news! We are excited to introduce an automated monitoring feature for A/AAAA and NS records within zones. A new icon is now available next to these records, allowing users to quickly open the "Create Monitoring" pop-up with settings that are automatically pre-filled based on the record type.
For A/AAAA records, the system automatically selects a ping check and populates the IP field for a seamless setup.
For NS records, the system auto-fills the IP/Host field with the "points to" value of the record. DNS monitoring is selected by default, with the host to query set to the record's host, query type set to NS, and the required response automatically configured to include all NS records in the zone for that host.
This automated monitoring configuration makes it easier to set up the required monitoring checks for tracking DNS records or the overall service, reducing manual setup time and minimizing the chance for errors.
